About us:

Saddle Rock Pottery is located between Two Harbors and Duluth, MN about 7 miles inland from the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior.

Potter Bruce Lovold Jr. learned the craft of pottery in high school and pursued it as an after-work hobby as an adult. Bruce and Cynthia, his wife, starting out making items for their personal use and gifts. They had family and friends start asking if they could order items as gifts then received an invitation to the annual French River Craft Bizarre. The response was wonderful!

After 6 years we have upgraded to a larger kiln and have plans to expand our shop to include a small showroom. We make series of certain patterns and items as well as custom orders for any occassion.

We appreciate the support from our family and friends in our community. Thanks to you, our pottery has now been distributed all over the United States, Canada and even as far as Taiwan!
